It is located on the edge of the pretty village of Woodhouse Eaves in the Charnwood Forest area, approximately an hour’s drive of the Derbyshire Peak District National Park and also the vibrant city of Nottingham. It is ideal for groups of family or friends to gather together in a beautiful part of England.
The House on the Hill was included in the Independent's Best Holiday Cottages with Pools. It is set over three floors, with rural views to enjoy from every window.
It has seven bedrooms, all tastefully furnished, the master bedroom having an en-suite bathroom with jacuzzi bath-tub, and a balcony overlooking the grounds.
The first floor sitting room has comfortable seating, a wood burning stove, and doors to the rear terrace with a stone stairway leading down to the garden.
The kitchen is modern and bright, with a breakfast bar and a cosy sitting area. It leads into the dining room. Several doors open onto the outside patio.

There is a heated outdoor swimming pool complete with seating and loungers, in a lovely setting, close to the orchard, lawns and patios.
Woodhouse Eaves has a good selection of gastro-pubs, restaurants and shops, as do other villages in Charnwood Forest. The surrounding countryside is particularly beautiful and includes the Beacon Hill Country Park and Bradgate Park.
The Great Central Railway which showcases heritage steam trains is in the nearby village of Quorn.
